Miss Indonesia 2010 Ready to Take Part in Miss Universe

YOGYAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Miss Indonesia Universe 2010 Nadine Alexandra Dewi said she is ready to represent Indonesia in next year’s Miss Universe to introduce Indonesia to the outside world.

"I am ready to represent Indonesia  in Miss Universe 2011 to introduce  Indonesia to the international world," she said here on Tuesday.        "When I was in England many of my friends asked me where Indonesia is. It means that Indonesia was not sufficiently known by other countries," she said.       She said although she had stayed abroad for quite a long time,  she is still proud of being an Indonesian and feels she needs to make a contribution to Indonesia, especially in the tourism sector.      "I have to admit that my bahasa Indonesia is not so fluent, but it is no reason not to love Indonesia. I am proud to be an Indonesian and I think I have an obligation to promote Indonesia on the international forum," she said.       Nadine who had stayed in Indonesia for only the last three years said she will try to speak fluent Indonesian as a daily language and avoid using English in her daily conversations.
